Broce, Croatia
Broce lies on the southern Dalmatian peninsula of Peljesac, which is connected to the mainland by coastal road via Ston. The town and its harbour are 3 km south of Ston. Although the inhabitants traditionally live off of agriculture and fishing, they are turning more and more to tourism as this area has fabulous sandy beaches shaded by pine trees. Therefore, Broce is great for guests looking for a quiet holiday in a small town close to tourist centers. The century-old town of Ston nearby, known for its stone fortification walls (the so-called European Great Wall of China) offers many cultural and historic sites, as well as delicious meals in its taverns (traditional restaurants). Dubrovnik is only 40 km away, which is also a must, if in Broce. Besides water sports, such as sailing and surfing in the Ston channel, as well as sports fields, there is a whole range of additional activities in the town of Ston.
